With the amount of exposure our face has to the harshest environments, we should in all probability be washing our face with a face wash every 3 to 4 hours. At least we should splash our face with cool water every now and then so that the face relaxes and gets its hydration. However, in our busy schedule, this is almost next to impossible. Many times we do not give due importance to this simple procedure that we end up with a host of complications to our face and skin. Enter the world of cosmetics! Face sprays are generally meant to hydrate your skin. Apart from it, they also can be used for soothing sunburns and can have an effect on certain skin problems. There are specific spray mists available exclusively for acne and pimple outbreak too. Using such sprays also acts as an anti-aging means on your skin. There is only one catch here. Most of the face sprays available in the market have abundant usage of chemicals which may not be a good practice in the long run. Worse- for some skin types, this may not be suitable too. Homemade Facial Sprays To Refresh Your Skin:

1. Cucumber And Aloe Vera Spray

Ingredients:

1 Cucumber
1 teaspoon Aloe Vera Juice
Lemon Grass Essential Oil

Procedure:

This is one of the easiest and the basic type of mist spray that you can make at home. Cucumber is known for its coolness quotient and it simply brings out the freshness in your skin. Cut a cucumber into fine chunks and put them in a blender to get a juicy pulp. Using a thin cloth or a strainer discard the pulp and extract only the juice. To it add a teaspoon of Aloe Vera Juice and a few drops of lemon grass essential oil. Mix well and transfer the contents into a spray bottle. It is ready for use now. Keep them handy and spray it as per your needs to get instant freshness.

2. Rose Water Spray

Ingredients:

½ cup Organic Rose Water
1 teaspoon Vitamin E oil
Mint Essential Oil

Procedure:

This spray is something that can make you smell pleasant as we are making it using organic rose water. Also, we are giving it a boost with Vitamin E oil. Hence this can be safely used for acne related problems apart from freshening up. Take half a cup of pure organic rose water. Mix just a teaspoon of Vitamin E oil into it. For a further zing, just add in a drop or two of mint essential oil and mix well. Transfer to a plastic spray bottle and use it as per your will. Just remember to wipe your face with a tissue before using it.

3. Green Tea And Aloe Vera Spray

Ingredients:

½ cup Green tea (Cooled)
1 teaspoon Aloe Vera Juice
Jasmine/Camphor Essential Oil

Procedure:

We might have come across the fact that green tea has antioxidant properties and how much they are beneficial to your health. Here is an additional information for a keepsake. Green tea is also beneficial for your skin and it is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. For these reasons, they can be used for your acne and pimple related problems apart from keeping you fresh. Boil some green tea, strain the leaves from it and allow it to cool. To it add a teaspoon of Aloe Vera Juice and two drops of Jasmine essential oil to spike up the fragrance. Pour the contents into a spray bottle, shake well and start using them.

4. Lavender Spray

Ingredients:

½ cup Water (Distilled)
1 tablespoon Witch Hazel
Lavender Essential Oil

Procedure:

This spray needs no introduction as you would have come across this in markets. It is also easier to make than it sounds. Also, try jelling witch hazel with it as it can be anti bacterial and can make your skin pores free for a longer duration. Take half a cup of water and add in a tablespoon of witch hazel into it. Mix well and add in 5 to 6 drops of lavender essential oil to the mix. Stir well and pour into a spray bottle. The mist spray is ready for use. This one gives out a pleasant feel for many hours.

5. Coconut Water And Aloe Vera Spray

Ingredients:

½ cup Coconut Water
1 teaspoon Aloe Vera juice
Sweet Almond Essential oil
½ teaspoon Lemon Juice

Procedure:

This spray is the best to use, especially if you are from tropical climates. The spray is simply revitalizing due to the presence of coconut water and it gives out a radiating feel to your skin when used. To half a cup of fresh coconut water, mix about a teaspoon of Aloe Vera Juice. Add in a half a teaspoon of lemon juice and two drops of almond essential oil to maintain the fluidity. Mix well and store it in a spray bottle for daily use. Take note that coconut water can turn bad after a few days. Hence refrigerate it when not in use and discard the solution after about a week.
