The Nikon D5600 is a mild update to Nikon D5000 that was announced about a year ago . The device which will be available globally with the exception of US , comes off the factory with 3 basic updates : support for in-camera time-lapse movie , the ability to scrub through images in playback mode using the touchscreen and inclusion of NFC and Bluetooth which can establish a connection to your phone via Nikon’s meh SnapBridge app .

Specwise , the Nikon D5600 retains its predecessor 3.2-inch vari-angle LCD touch screen that flips out and rotates in several directions and powered by same EXPEED 5 image processor , but now with a 24.1MP sensor with a very highly resolution of 6000 x 4000 px .

The Nikon D5600 comes with a battery which you can recharge directly via the USB port connected to the power port or a PC  Nikon claims the battery can only completely discharge after shooting up to  about 600-700 photos .

Though no pricing has been announced yet , the Nikon D5600 will hit the stores at the end of November 2016 in several variants that includes:

  • Nikon D5600 body only
  • Nikon D5600 with the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens
  • Nikon D5600 with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
  • Nikon D5600 with both AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR lens
