Samsung Electronics, the electronics arm of Samsung announced today that the Samsung Gear Fit 2 fitness band, which was first announced in the Computex 2016 at the beginning of June, is now commercially available in major smartphone markets around the world.
This news was made known on the Samsung News website, which said that the markets where the Gear Fit 2 is commercially available now “includes the US, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Australia, and will gradually be launched around the globe”.
This should come as a delight to fans and lovers of smart gadgets and wearables, because the Samsung Gear Fit 2, which was reviewed by our team when it was initially announced, has many promising and exciting features, as contained in our review.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 has an ergonomic and sleek design which makes fitness tracking a fashionable thing to do. The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is capable of performing up to 15 different activities at the same time(oops!) and is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.4 KitKat and above. These and other awesome specifications of the Samsung Gear Fit 2 have been covered by our review of the product earlier this month.
We expect the price of the Samsung Gear Fit 2 to still remain at $179 as was announced at its launch. The good news is that the smart sports watch will soon — very soon! — be available in Nigeria and will cost between N35,800 and N53,700 when it arrives.
We’re going to be tracking the progress of the Samsung Gear Fit 2 as it moves across several global markets, so subscribe for our e-mail updates and get our latest news delivered straight to your inbox for free!
