The Lumigon T3 has been launched by Danish outfit Lumigon as the first smartphone with a night vision camera. The 4MP night vision camera on The Lumigon T3 highlights a 4MP night vision camera with the capability to take photos and videos in complete darkness.
The tech company has a reputation of developing distinctive phones and this is another milestone in the smartphone industry. It won’t be surprising if other phone-makers starts adopting this innovative technology in their flagship devices.
Full Specification, Design and Price of the Lumigon T3
The Lumigon T3 adopts a different technology from the CAT S60, the world’s first smartphone with built-in thermal camera capable of detecting images even in smoke filled environment. Instead the Lumigon T3, with a 4MP night vision camera, comes with two Infra Red LEDs and the extra perk is that the Infra-Red light the camera uses is invisible to the naked eyes so you can’t be detected when filming in the dark.
The design of the T3 consist of a body built with what the company calls marine-grade 316 stainless steel and evolves the utilitarian design of its predecessor device, the T2 HD.
The Lumigon T3 however features a slightly bigger 4.8-inch 720pSuper AMOLED screen. The screen is extra fortified with a Gorilla Glass 4 and fibreglass cover for extra durability. The superb device is also water and dust resistant.
The device is an Android phone which boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It is powered by a Octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 with a speed of up to 2.2GHz .
The Lumigon T3 also steals the show with a 3GB RAM and an expansive 128GB storage. The phone has a fingerprint reader as well.
Apart from the 4MP night camera, the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP/4K rear-facing camera for daytime shooting and a 5MP front-facing “selfie” shooter which actually had front flash.
The phone has stereo speakers to boost the sound and an IR blaster to control electronics at home. And if that’s not enough, the T3 is a dual-SIM phone.
Other specs which the T3 prides itself in includes a Vault app which can be used to keep your digital info secure, everything from passwords to whole apps. The app also handles encrypted communication.
The obviously high-end device comes in three colors but only the Black model is available now, White and Orange are coming later this month. Lumigon also has a 24-karat gold edition of the black T3 too and a White gold version coming later. A White diamond version is said to be in the works too.
If you have fallen for the amazingly powerful Lumigon T3 device already, your heart might get broken by the steep $925 price tag on the device. That is a huge N190,000 price tag in Nigeria even before tax and shipping costs are considered. The Black gold model obviously cost way more at $1,200 (about N250,000 in Nigeria).
