Xiaomi is in the process of releasing a new mobile device into the market. The Xiaomi Max it is named after the tech giant conducted an online poll among its fans where the name “Xiaomi Max” was selected.
The Xiaomi Max isn’t just a mobile phone neither is it just a tablet device. Rather, it perfectly fuses the two categories as a smart phone and a tablet in one. Hence it fall under that special category exclusive to the affluent devices – Phablet.
Photos of the uniquely shaped device which promises to live by its name – “Max” with a massive 6.4 inches screen size, have surfaced and the photos surprisingly seemed to have emerged directly from the production line.
The shots, already steering up anticipatory enthusiasm among fans and tech lovers, reveal the outlook of the device’s front panel and its nothing but awesome. Great design, fabulous finishing and the specs don’t disappoint either.
The panel strikes a perfect similarity with Xiaomi’s design language. As usual, there are capacitive keys on the chin, earpiece and sensor array, compact side bezels.
However, unlike the current flagship Mi 5, there is no hardware home button with a fingerprint reader. There’s no cause to be disappointed though, as there’s provision for the fingerprint sensor at the back of the device, similar to those found on the Redmi Note 3 and the Mi 4.
Other details about the specs are still hazy but it is taunted to come with a Snapdragon 820. Even the resolution of the massive 6.4 inch-display hasn’t been revealed. But soon, very soon we’ll herald the birth of another great mobile device that won’t tear a hole in our pockets in terms of pricing.
It is tipped to launch very soon as said earlier, possibly in the month of May 2016. In the same vein, there isn’t a word on the price it will be sold for in Nigeria or any other part of the world. But be rest assured that the device will be available on the top two Nigerian online retail shops- Jumia and Konga.
