Smartphone maker,HTC over the past couple of year has reported serious decline in sales over what market experts calls its inability to deliver product which meets the needs of its teeming fans. The latest Flagship device from the Taiwanese Phone maker in its M series range, the HTC 10 (there’s no One or M in the phone’s name this year, it’s just 10), appears to be what is needed by the OEM to cause a turnaround in its dwindling sales, as it may turn out to be the best HTC phone ever.

The HTC 10 is a phone that focuses on nailing the basics: the screen, the camera, battery life and like its predecessor, the HTC 10 here to take on the likes of Xiaomi Mi5 ,Samsung’s Galaxy S7, LG’s Modular G5, and the expected iPhone 7.
Design and Display
The design of the 10 is similar to both the M9 and A9, and is best described as a blend of the two. It has HTC’s signature all-aluminum construction, with large chamfered edges and machined ports. The HTC 10 may not stand to win any award in the design department, but it definitely stands out of the crowd for at least not looking like another Iphone 6s clone.
With a dimension of 145.9 x 71.9 x 3.0 – 9.0mm & a Weight of 161 grams, the HTC 10 looks & feel chunkier than its closest rival-the LG G5 & the Galaxy S7 understandably partly due to a larger capacity battery.
Everyhing in the display depart has been stepped up on the HTC 10.The new HTC 10 now features a slightly larger 5.2-inch super LCD 5 display and the resolution has also increased from a from a FHD to a QHD.These improvement in the HTC 10 display puts 10 in a better position to stand against LG flagship G5 and Samsung Flagship S7.
The HTC 10 display is further enhanced with a Corning gorilla glass protection with 2.5D curves around its edges.
The HTC 10 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC- the same chipset on the American version of Galaxy S7 and the LG G5.The device is supported by a 4GB RAM with 32GB of ROM and optional 64GB ROM with a microSD card slot that supports Android Marshmallow’s adoptable storage feature.
Camera & Power
The HTC 10 is equipped with a 12MP rear camera, with laser autofocus, a 1.55µm pixel size, optical image stabilization (OIS), and an f/1.8 aperture. While this may seems like a downgrade from that of HTC One M9,HTC is touting the new Camera as an Ultrapixels camera,so you should expect a beeter performance. HTC says the HT 10 camera can be launched in just 0.6 seconds, while the Laser Autofocus will allow the camera to focus much faster.
There is also a 5MP UltraSelfie” camera with a pixel size of 1.34µm, OIS and an f/1.8 aperture wide-angle lens and screen flash at the front of the device.
The HTC 10 comes with a slightly larger 3000mAh non removable with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes. The device boasts of a 2 days of normal use.
Other features include Nano SIM support, a 24-bit hi-res DAC audio chip, BoomSound speakers, and a Fingerprint scanner just between the two capacitive buttons.HTC claims this Fingerprint scanner can unlockthe device in just 0.2s.The HTC 10 runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense 8.0 UI with Freestyle Layout with support for Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, DLNA, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and 4G.
