Chinese Smartphone giant-Xiaomi is expected to announced officially the Xiaomi Redmi 3 which will come as a successor to the Xiaomi Redmi 2 on January 12.This info was contained in a Weibo post released recently by the Company detailing a teased image, which revealed the rear of a device , flaunting a textured metal panel. Xiaomi also stated that the smartphone will sport a 5-inch display. However, no other specifications were shared. The device will most likely launch on 12 January.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 recently received TENAA‘s nodding, where a smaeak vew of the device was seen . The Xiaomi Redmi 3 is rumored to come with a 5-inch HD resolution TFT display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, a 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. It will mostly feature an internal storage of 16GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone is expected to pack in a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera and boot to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the MIUI V7 skinning on top.
Nothing has been said about its pricing .Only rcently,the Redmi 2 started selling in Nigeria and other African countries.
